How the pursuit of money is taking over my life
Fatigue, headaches, muscle pains, joint aches, anxiety, and insomnia.
These are some of the symptoms I have been experiencing in the past few months. This text is not about finances or health but simply a vent. I want it to be light, yet convey my current situation and how it has indeed been making me feel worse, though there’s still a spark of hope that I can get out of this.

1 — The Beginning of It All
It all started in November 2023. I was excited, my family was well, I had just started my current job, and I also had my side gig as a DevOps engineer — everything seemed fine. I was managing to maintain my mental health, spend time with my family, and, for context, was financially stable.
We rarely notice what’s right in front of us, right? But since everything was fine, except for the size of the house we lived in, we decided to look for a new home. Let’s do the math: we were living in a two-bedroom house, paying exactly €800 to survive there. However, with a 3-month-old baby and me working from home, two bedrooms wouldn’t suffice, at least not for much longer.
