Home-Office: From pleasure to despair
I believe the debate over whether people work better and more productively at home — or anywhere else — compared to the office is outdated. Home-office is already a reality for many people and companies, although some big companies are starting to swim against the tide and bring back the process of returning to the office.

I am a strong advocate for the quality of working from home versus working in an office. Since I entered the field in 2021, I’ve been fortunate to always have remote jobs, which has been incredibly advantageous for me. I’ve worked for companies in Rio de Janeiro, the interior of São Paulo, and had clients in the USA, Europe, and India — all of this is something I can only attribute to working remotely.
However, as with everything in life, our opinions change, evolve, and gain strength and robustness. Based on this evolution I’ve experienced in my life, today I want to bring a reflection that peaked during the height of the pandemic, because simply, companies that didn’t have a remote work culture were forced to send people who also didn’t have this culture home; otherwise, they couldn’t continue working.
